32 | Regarding allegation that Staff #1 (S1) handled a day care child roughly, based on interviews conducted it was disclosed that S1 has not been observed being rough with any children. S1 stated they have never been rough with any child and they always get down at the child's eye level.
Pertaining to allegation that staff are not ensuring day care children have water to drink, based on interviews conducted it was disclosed that all classrooms have a jug of water for the children to refill their water bottles and a jug of water is available outside. It was also stated that staff ensure water bottles are refilled throughout the day and they have spare cups if needed. Based on observation, LPAs observed water jugs in the facility.
Pertaining to allegation that unqualified staff are providing care to day care children without supervision by a qualified teacher, based on interviews conducted there is a fully qualified staff member in each classroom and aides are never left alone, only at nap time. It was also stated that staff from the other facility will come over to support if needed or the director and Licensee will step in to support the classrooms. Based on record review 5 out of 9 staff members were fully qualified teachers.
Lastly, regarding allegation that staff are not following food preparation safety practices, based on interviews conducted it was disclosed that staff use gloves to serve children food, clean tables and either wash hands or use hand sanitizer. LPAs observed the cook serving lunch to the children wearing gloves during visit on 3/25/26.
Based on the information obtained during this investigation, it has been determined that although the allegations may have happened or is valid, there is not a preponderance of evidence to prove that the alleged violations did or did not occur. Therefore, the allegations are UNSUBSTANTIATED.
An exit interview was conducted, and this report was reviewed with the Licensee, Brooklyn McDole, and a copy was provided. Appeal rights were discussed and provided during the exit interview. A Notice of Site visit was given, and Licensee understands that it must remain posted for 30 days. |
