32 | interviewed stated they enjoy the daycare, playing with friends, have not observed staff hitting a day care child and think their teachers are nice. During the interview with C1, C1 stated, a staff member hit their feet, which hurt and caused them to cry. No other details of the incident were provided by C1. There were no other witnesses to the alleged incident. All parents interviewed, stated they have not observed any staff hitting a day care child and are very satisfied with the care their children receive.
No significant incidents were observed on the 12/08/22 video footage reviewed by LPA. C1 can be seen taking shoes on and off several different times during nap time and again in the conference room. The video footage did not support or prove the allegation.
Due to conflicting information obtained throughout the course of the investigation, LPA was unable to determine whether or not the allegation occurred. Although the allegations may have happened or are valid, there is not a preponderance of evidence to prove the alleged violation did or did not occur, therefore the above allegation is UNSUBSTAINIATED
Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with Site Supervisor, Patty Salazar. A copy of this report, along with Appeal Rights (LIC9058), were provided. A Notice of Site Visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days. LPA observed that the Notice of Site Visit was posted during the inspection. Failure to comply with posting requirements shall result in an immediate civil penalty of $100. |
