32 | When it comes to allegation that facility staff do not keep classroom clean and sanitized, based on interviews staff clean the floors and tables throughout the day after each meal and as needed. It was disclosed that they use a cleaning solution to sanitize the toys during nap time and at the end of the day as well as having a bucket for toys placed in the child's mouth for sanitizing. It was also disclosed that Lysol is only used when children are not present to sanitize sleep mats and if a child vomited. Based on LPA observations classroom appeared clean and neat, with sanitizing solution located in cabinets.
Lastly, when it comes to allegation that facility staff do not keep food properly stored, based on interviews staff receive each meal from the cook and when they are done with the milk they pass it back to be placed in the fridge to avoid it from staying out. When meal time is over the cook will come and pick up whatever is left over. Based on LPA observations, open items were labeled with dates and no broken tupperware or dishes were present in the kitchen or classrooms.
Based on the information obtained during this investigation, it has been determined that although the allegations may have happened or are valid, there is not a preponderance of evidence to prove that the alleged violations did or did not occur. Therefore, the allegations are UNSUBSTANTIATED.
