Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Nasha King was at the facility for the purpose of initiating a complaint investigation. After concluding the initial 10-day complaint visit, LPA King conducted a Case Management-Incident follow-up on two (2) Unusual Incident Reports (UIRs) that were submitted to the Department. One UIR is dated 10/26/2021 and the other one is dated 11/02/2021. LPA King met with Belen Esteban (Director) to discuss the incident.

The Director reported the following:
On Monday, October 25, 2021, facility staff received notification that a child who attends the facility tested positive for COVID-19. On Friday, October 29, 2021, the facility staff received additional notification that a staff member also tested positive for COVID-19.

LPA King determined that the facility took the necessary steps to ensure the health and safety of the children in care by reporting the incidents to both the CA Department of Public Health (CDPH) and to the Department (Community Care Licensing Division). The facility also followed current guidance for COVID-19 as set forth by CDPH.

Based on the information gathered, there appears to be no violations of Title 22 Regulations found at this time. An exit interview was conducted, and a copy of this report was provided to Director, Belen Esteban.

No deficiencies were cited during this inspection and a Notice of Site Visit was issued and shall remain posted for 30 days.
