On 7/31/23 at 10:30 AM, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Keturah Lane conducted an unannounced complaint visit for the purpose of delivering findings on above allegation. Upon arrival, LPA met with Director Jill Giles and toured the facility. There were 64 preschool children in care:
Classroom 4 was not in use today
Classroom 5 had 12 children with staff member April Mascorro
Classroom 6 had 11 children with staff members Elizabeth "Liz" Robles & Nada Germany
Classroom 8 had 11 children with staff member Stephanie Ramirez
Classroom 9 had 8 children with staff members Martha Silva Rojano and Andressa Lopes De Moraes
Classroom 10 had 12 children with staff member Colleen Reed
Classroom 11 had 10 children with staff member Nancy Rodriguez (continued on LIC9099-C...)

While at the facility, LPA interviewed Director, one daycare child (C8) and one staff member (S1).

It was alleged that staff yells at daycare children and staff was aggressive in presence of daycare child(ren). LPA interviewed complainant, 5 enrolled parents, 6 staff members (including director) and 8 daycare children. One out of 20 individuals interviewed stated staff members yell at children on the playground and 2 out of 20 individuals stated staff may have been aggressive with the children during naptime. All children interviewed stated that staff members were nice and did not yell at the children.

Although the allegations may have happened or are valid, there is not a preponderance of the evidence to prove that the alleged violations occurred therefore the complaint allegations have been found to be UNSUBSTANTIATED.

No deficiencies were cited at this visit.

Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with facility representative Director Jill Giles. Notice of site visit was provided and must remain posted for 30 days.
