13 | On 12/13/2024, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Dana Stevens conducted an unannounced complaint inspection to deliver findings ont the above allegation. Upon arriving, LPA met with Director, Maria Carla Berrara and discussed reason for visit. 5 children were present with 1staff at the time of the inspection.
During the investigation LPA conducted three unannounced inspections of the facility, interviewed Director, School Principal, daycare children, daycare parents, and reviewed facility records. It was alleged that Staff left day care children unattended for an extended period of time. During interviews Director and School Principle denied preschool children are ever left unsupervised at any time. Director stated that during parent-teacher conferences or meetings, preschool children may play in the church nursery, with parent perminssion and within eyesite of parents and staff, however children are never left unsupervised. LPA's inspections and review of facility records and information obtained in child, parent and staff interviews did not provide any evidence or statements to support the allegation, Staff left day care children unattended for an extended period of time, thus the allegation is deemed Unsubstantiated. A finding that the complaint is Unsubstantiated means that although the allegation may have happened or is valid, there is not a preponderance of the evidence to prove that the alleged violations occurred.
No deficiencies cited. The Notice of Site Visit (LIC 9213) is to be posted for thirty (30) days. An exit interview was conducted. Licensee Rights (LIC 9098 01/16) along with a copy of this report was provided to Director, Maria Carla Barrera, their signature on this form confirms receipt of these rights.
