On 01/13/23 at 10:01am, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Samantha Clenista visited the facility to conduct an annual inspection. Upon arrival LPA met with Teacher, Rosalina Venegas. Director, Christine D’Amico arrived soon after to conclude the inspection. LPA proceeded to tour the facility. During today's inspection, there were 15 children with a total of 4 staff members. Appropriate ratios and capacity were observed. Appropriate care & visual supervision were observed during the inspection.

Furniture and age appropriate equipment is in good condition. Rooms have adequate heating, lighting, ventilation. Floors appear to be clean and safe. Drinking water is readily accessible. Bathrooms are maintained with operational toilets and faucets with appropriate temperature. Paper towels and toilet paper are available. Bathroom is lighted and has ventilation. There is a sink area for washing hands and a small refrigerator used for snacks as needed. Children bring their own lunches and snacks from home. Cleaning supplies are kept separate from food and are inaccessible to children. Storage containers for solid waste have tight-fitting covers and are kept in good repair. There are no hazardous items or poisons accessible to children. Director stated there are no firearms or other weapons on the premises. The facility appears to be free of insects and rodents. There is an operational carbon monoxide detector at the facility located in room 1.

There are two outdoor play areas. The main outdoor play area is located closeest to the classrooms and contains a small turf area and picnic area. This area was observed to be safe and age appropriate, free of hazardous items. The second outdoor area contains equipment that is appropriate for ages 3-12 years upon inspection. LPA Clenista advised that only the 3-5 years-olds can use the play structure and staff supervise younger children in that area so they do not use the structure. (continued on LIC809-C...)
