Staff are not taking universal precautions for daycare children while in care

On 02/17/2023 at 1:31pm, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Selina Siao conducted an unannounced inspection to deliver the above complaint findings. The initial inspections was conducted on 12/19/2022 and 01/23/2023. Upon arrival, LPA Siao met with Director Jenni Gonzalez to gather census for the infant classrooms. Throughout the course of investigation, interviews were conducted with several staff members and several day care parents. Based on information gathered, staff does not wash hands with soap and water before each diaper change because they were changing gloves after each diaper changing, therefore the above allegation is substantiated.

The initial inspections was conducted on 12/19/2022 and 01/23/2023. Upon arrival, LPA Siao met with Director Jenni Gonzalez to gather census for the infant classrooms. Throughout the course of investigation, interviews were conducted with several staff members and several day care parents. Staff members stated that they clean the toys every time a child use it and the children don’t share the toys. They give one toy to each child due to COVID as they are trying to keep everyone safe. Based on information gathered, although the allegation may have happened or is valid, there is not a preponderance of the evidence to prove that the alleged violation occurred. The above allegation is unsubstantiated.
