25 | On 3/1/2024 at 1:31pm, Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs) Selina Siao and Martha Avila conducted an unannounced case management inspection. On 11/13/2023, a noncompliance conference was held in the San Diego North Child Care Regional Office due to the facility's compliance history. Upon arrival, LPAs conducted a tour of the three preschool classrooms. The following ratios were observed: Room 2 had 8 children napping and Room 1 had 15 children napping supervised by staff Vivian Elias who was sitting in the middle of the two classrooms supervising both group of children. Room 5 had 10 children napping and were supervised by teacher Jill Tripes. Appropriate napping ratios were observed and all staff members have the required background clearances and are associated to the facility.
As part of the non compliance plan: Director submitted the sign in sheet that shows the staff members that have completed the following videos: Supervising Children in Child Care Centers, Children's Personal Rights in Child Care and Child Care Reporting Requirements and Teacher to Child Ratios in Child Care Center.
Director Jenni Gonzalez complete six (6) hours of Professional Child Care Development courses and submitted her training certificates on: Staffing Child Care Programs (1 hour), Guiding Children's Behavior in Childcare Settings (2 hours), Behavior Management for Young Children (1 hour) and Positive Solutions for Challenging Behaviors (2 hours).
An updated staffing plan (LIC 500) was recently submitted to the department on 02/20/2024. The LIC 500 indicate room assignment, hours and days of work, and staff member position. Center Director Jenni Gonzalez completed the on-line Child Care Center Operations & Record Keeping Orientation on 01/30/2024. Facility is within substantial compliance during today's inspection. Notice of Site visit shall remain posted for 30 days. |
