On 09/29/2023 at 1:00pm, Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs) Selina Siao and Nancy Diaz conducted an unannounced inspection to deliver the above complaint finding. The initial inspection was conducted by LPA Siao on 09/15/2023. Upon arrival, LPAs met with Director Jenni Gonzalez and conducted a tour of the classrooms to gathered census. Appropriate ratios were observed in the three preschool classrooms. Throughout the course of investigation, interviews were conducted with several staff members, several day care parents and several day care children. Based on the information obtained, facility has been allowing the children in the four year old class walk to the restroom that is located outside by the playground alone when staff is not available to walk the children. The allegation is valid because the preponderance of the evidence has been met, therefore, the above allegation is found to be substantiated. California Code of Regulations, 101229(a)(1) is being cited on the attached LIC 9099D. This is a repeat violation within the last 12 months and a civil penalty of $250 is being issued. The Notice of Site Visit was provided, and it must remain posted for 30 days. Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with the Director and facility representative.
