On 12/04/24 at 1:00 pm, Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs), Gerald Poindexter and Stefanie Mutialu conducted an in-person office meeting with Licensee Anab Hade and Center Director Izhar Mohamed (who provided Somali translation) and Fardowso Mohamud, office assistant at the CCL office located at 7575 Metropolitan Drive, Suite 110, San Diego, CA 92108. The purpose of this meeting was to discuss CCL requirements and the Licensee’s recent citation history.

During the required annual inspection on 11/21/24 the facility was cited Type A citations with civil penalties totaling $1100 under section 1596.871(c)(1)(A) - Administration of Child Day Care Licensing. There were three persons (including 2 staff members) present the facility, who did not have a criminal record clearance and were not associated to the facility. Another Type A citation was assessed under section 101161(a) - Limitations on Capacity and Ambulatory Status; The facility was observed co-mingling of toddlers and preschool children in one classroom. Additionally, during the same annual inspection, the LPA recorded six (6) Type B citations, which pose a potential risk to children in care.The Licensee has come into compliance ensuring that current staff is background cleared and associated. Plan of Correction for other citation is in progress.

During this meeting, the Technical Support Program (TSP) was discussed and offered to the licensee. TSP brochure was provided. LPA Poindexter recommends and encourage acceptance of TSP assistance. For questions related to TSP, email: Childcaretechnicalsupport@dss.ca.gov.

Licensee was also advised to regularly visit the Community Care Licensing WEBSITE: www.ccld.ca.gov for quarterly updates and regulation. The licensee was also advised of how to sign up to receive Provider Information Notices (PIN's). The Licensee was provided the Duty Line: 619-767-2248.
