25 | On 7/26/22 at 12:00 PM, Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs) Keturah Lane and Adrian Mangina conducted an unannounced case management visit at Licensee’s request. Facility is requesting to increase the capacity of the infant/toddler license from 17 to 37 infants and 12 to 25 toddlers for a total capacity of 62. Director is requesting to decrease capacity of the preschool license from 45 to 12 children so that the overall capacity of the two licenses remains at 74. Current license has infants in rooms #4 & #5 and toddlers in room #7. Facility is requesting to use rooms #2, #3, #4 and #5 for infants and room #1 for toddlers. Upon arrival, LPAs met with Tatiana Huertero and toured the facility. Fire clearance is currently pending. The following ratios were observed:
Room #4 – 5 infants with 2 staff members
Room #5 – 6 infants with 2 staff members
Room #7 – had 5 preschool children with 4 staff
Room #1 which is currently under the preschool license had 3 toddlers and 2 staff members.
Executive Director Shelly Baker was also present at the facility. Preschool children have already moved to Room #7 and toddlers have moved from Room #7 to Room #1 prior to fire clearance being granted. Executive Director Shelly Baker stated that the fire department is coming tomorrow 7/27/22 for the fire inspection. She also requested that the preschool will only use outside play area #1 and the infant/toddler license will use outside play areas #2 & #3. The outside play areas #2 & #3 measure a total of 3,704.32 square feet which will accommodate no more than 49 infants/toddlers. Since the outside area is not enough for requested capacity of 62, Shelly Baker asked if she could request a waiver to share the outdoor space (with infants/toddlers) on a scheduled basis.
