Facility staff released day care children to an adult who was under the influence

On 4/03/2023 at 11am, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Selina Siao conducted an unannounced inspection to investigate the above complaint allegation. Upon arrival, LPA met with Director Victoria Dedeaux and conducted a tour of the three classrooms. The following ratios were observed: Ladybugs Room had 17 children supervised by staff Karla Rubalcava and Brenda Baltazar Gomez. Frogs Room had 15 children supervised by staff members Asiya Hamdi and Rajaa Janabi. There were 21 children from the Owls class at the playground supervised by staff members Lesley Garcia, Yohali Plascencia and Ginette Bervil. Appropriate ratios were observed for the three preschool classes and all staff members have the required background clearances and are associated to the facility. Interviews were conducted with the staff members that has interaction with the alleged adult that picks up the day care children including the Director. The information obtained, conflict with information from the reporting party and no one could corroborate with the above allegation, therefore the allegation regarding facility staff released day care children to an adult who was under the influence is unsubstantiated. No citation issue.
