25 | On 11/16/2021 at 10:05am, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Martha Malane conducted an unannounced Case Management Inspection for the purpose of inspecting the German Shed. Upon arrival, LPA met with Office Manager, Eva Handl and Director, Julia Duke and was led on a tour the facility. There were 59 children and nine (9) staff members present during today’s inspection.
A fire clearance for the facility to utilize the German Shed, located on the north side of the office, was granted 10/27/2021. Per San Diego Fire Prevention Bureau, the German Shed may be occupied under the following conditions: Staff meetings, small groups of children for 15-20 minutes at a time, multi-purpose room, i.e., rainy day children’s activities for 15-20 minutes at a time and storage of small items. Director stated she understands and will abide by the conditions set forth by the Fire Marshal.
LPA inspected the German Shed and found the shed to be clean and free of hazards and may be occupied by children in care as of today’s date, 11/16/2021.
Per Title 22, Division 12, Chapter 1, of the California Code of Regulations, no deficiencies are cited.
An exit interview was conducted with Director, Julia Duke. LPA discussed and provided the following to director: LIC809, Notice of Site Visit and Appeal Rights. |
