25 | On 10/6/23 at 9:30am, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Martha Malane arrived at the facility to conduct a case management inspection for the purpose of a capacity increase. Upon arrival, LPA met with Director, Cinthya Baez and was led on a tour of the facility. At 10:15am, Licensee, Christina Bradley arrived at the facility. There were nine (9) infants and three (3) staff members present. The facility is requesting a capacity increase to 18 infants: serving ages 6 weeks - 24 months in the Mariposa, Oruga and Capullo classrooms. In addition, to change the location of the outdoor activity space and add the Mariposa Room to the license. Hours of operation are Monday - Friday 7:30 am - 5:30pm.
The indoor space was inspected and measured a total of 644.93 square feet, which is sufficient to accommodate the requested capacity. The new outdoor space, which is located outside of the Mariposa Room, was inspected and measured a total of 1151.92 square feet, which is not sufficient to accommodate the requested capacity. Based on insufficient outdoor space, licensee stated she will submit a waiver request to share the outdoor space on a scheduled basis.
A fire clearance for 18 infant children: ages 6 weeks to 24 months in the Mariposa, Oruga and Capullo classrooms was granted 10/3/23.
The following is required:
· Licensee to submit an updated waiver request and daily schedules to the SDRO
· Proof of shade, gravel covered and debris cleaned from the outside activity space
· Plan of operation submitted for transitioning from the classroom to the outdoor space
No deficiencies cited. A capacity increase to 18 infant children may be granted after the above requirements are met and a final file review. Exit interview conducted with Licensee, Christina Bradley. Notice of Site Visit shall be posted for 30 days from today’s date. Failure to comply with posting requirements will result in a civil penalty of $100. |
