25 | On 11/30/2023 at 9:40am, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Vicky Williamson arrived at the facility to conduct a case management inspection for the purpose of a change in activity space. Upon arrival, LPA met with Director, Cinthya Baez and was led on a tour of the facility. There were seven (7) infants and three (3) staff members present. The facility is to requesting to change the location of the infant playground to a new area located next to the previous infant playground location. Facility has a capacity of 18 infants: serving ages 6 weeks - 24 months. Hours of operation are Monday - Friday 7:30 am - 5:30pm.
The new outdoor activity space, which is located outside of the Capullo, and next to the pre-exiting outdoor activity was inspected and measured. The new outdoor activity space measured a total of 717.60 square feet, and is sufficient to accommodate 9 infants. Based on insufficient outdoor space, director stated that licensee will submit a waiver request to share the outdoor space on a scheduled basis.
A fire clearance for 18 infant children: ages 6 weeks to 24 months in the Mariposa, Oruga and Capullo classrooms was granted 10/3/2023.
The following is required:
· Licensee to submit an updated waiver request and daily schedules to the SDRO
· Proof of shade, and additional fencing to cover the metal edge of the fence in the outdoor activity space
· Plan of operation submitted for transitioning from the classroom to the outdoor space
No deficiencies cited. A change of location of the infant playground for the infant children may be granted after the above requirements are met and a final file review. Exit interview conducted with Director, Cinthya Baez . Notice of Site Visit shall be posted for 30 days from today’s date. Failure to comply with posting requirements will result in a civil penalty of $100. |
