32 | Capacity and limitations as specified on the license are being maintained. At least one person trained in CPR and Pediatric First Aid is present when children are at the facility or at offsite activities. Licensee utilizes Brightwheel application for sign in/out. Children are under supervision, including visual supervision, of a teacher at all times. Facility maintains a ratio of one teacher supervising no more than 12 children in care. LPAs reviewed a sample of children’s files and observed files were complete with contact information for authorized representative and or relatives or others who can assume responsibility for the child and medical assessment. LPAs reviewed a sample of staff files and observed files were complete with health screening, immunization records for influenza, pertussis and measles and current documentation of completed mandated reporter training.
This facility provides Incidental Medical Services – IMS. LPAs reviewed storage of medication and equipment/supplies, and reviewed children’s, personnel, and administrative records. LPAs and director discussed the Community Care Licensing website www.ccld.ca.gov which will provide access to Guardian, California Megan’s Law (www.meganslaw.ca.gov).
Director was reminded that childcare centers constructed before 1/01/2010 are to test their water for lead prior to January 1, 2023 and then every five (5) years after the date of the first lead testing. LPA discussed (PIN) 20-01-CCP “Required Lead Testing for Drinking Water in Licensed Child Care Centers, PIN 21-21-CCP LIC 9275 – External Water Sampler Self-Certification Form and the LIC 9276 – Center Sampling Checklist Form.
Per Title 22, Division 12, Chapter 1, of the California Code of Regulations, no deficiencies were cited.
LIC 9213 Notice of Site Visit is provided and required to be posted for 30 days. Failure to comply with posting requirements shall result in an immediate civil penalty of $100.
