25 | On 07/13/2023 at 09:00am an office meeting was conducted with the licensee, Letitia Zepeda (present via speakerphone) to discuss deficiencies cited on 06/02/2023 and 05/09/2023. In addition, the meeting was held to discuss the history of complaints. Present at the meeting was the Director, Lauren Wynglarz Licensing Program Manager (LPM), Tulam Vu; and Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs), David Miller, Vicky Williamson, and Martha Malane.
On 06/02/2023 during a case management inspection, the facility was cited Type B, Section 101239.1(b)(5) Napping Equipment: 8 out of 26 sleeping mats had foam that is exposed to children. On 05/09/2023, the facility was cited Type A, Section 101161(a): Limitations on Capacity: The facility was operating over capacity with 32 children. In addition, a complaint was substantiated on 12/01/2022 for staff not having current pediatric CPR and first aid certificate. It is noted that the licensee corrected all deficiencies in a timely manner.
LPM discussed with licensee, Letitia Zepeda and Director, Lauren Wynglarz the above deficiencies. Licensee and Director were provided regulation Section 101161(a); Limitations on Capacity. Licensee and Director were informed that repeated violations or failure to comply with licensing laws and regulations may result in administrative action taken by the Department. Licensee Letitia Zepeda, and Director, Lauren Wynglarz stated they understand and will ensure the facility complies with all regulations and laws governing Child Care Centers. Licensee, Letitia Zepeda, authorized the Director, Lauren Wynglarz, to sign the report.
