25 | On 06/26/2024 at 11:00am, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Selina Siao conducted an unannounced Case Management inspection for an increase in capacity. Upon arrival, LPA met with Director Nicole Hage and conducted a tour of the facility. Applicant is requesting to be licensed for 16 infants (ages 6 weeks to 24 months)in the Infant classroom (crib room) and TLC2 room (older infants). Facility's hours of operation is Monday to Friday from 7:30am to 5pm. Present during today’s inspection were 6 children supervised by 2 staff members. Appropriate ratios and supervision were observed. All staff members have the required background clearances and are associated to the facility. All indoor and outdoor activity space utilized for the children was inspected today. LPA informed Nicole Hage that staff are required to maintain direct visual supervision of the children at all times during indoor and outdoor activities.
LPA continued to tour the facility and measured the new additional indoor and outdoor activity space. Total indoor activity space measured to be 718.29 square feet, which is sufficient to accommodate the requested capacity of 16 children. LPA observed all indoor activity space to be complete with safe, age-appropriate furniture and equipment, including tables, chairs, cubbies, napping cots and crib, bookshelves, and other activity supplies for the children. Drinking water is available in the classrooms via the children's own water bottles and zippy cup and it gets refill with the filtered water that the facility provides. The crib area has sufficient space for four cribs. LPA observed all hazardous items to be inaccessible to children. Director stated that there are no bodies of water or weapons on the property. Fire clearance was granted on 06/18/2024.
LPA observed a total of 2 sinks located next to the changing table available for children’s use. These are sufficient to accommodate the requested capacity of 16 children.
