25 | On 12/15/2024 at 3:05pm, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Selina Siao conducted an announced Pre-Licensing follow inspection due to a change of ownership. Upon arrival, LPA met with Applicant Jochebed Dejesus and her husband Michael Dejesus. The initial inspection was conducted on 11/14/2024, Applicant is now requesting to be licensed for 8 infants (0 to 24 months) in room #1, 30 preschool children (ages 2 to 5 years old) in rooms #2 and #4 and 8 school age children in room #3 (ages UTK to 13 years old). Hours of operation will be Monday to Friday 7am to 5:30pm.
LPA continued to tour the facility as the facility was previously measured. Total infant indoor activity space was previously measured to be 304.44 square feet, which is sufficient to accommodate the requested capacity. The preschool rooms #2 and #4 were previously measured to be 1056.09 square feet, which is sufficient to accommodate the requested capacity. The school age room #3 was previously measured to be 294.57 square feet, which is sufficient to accommodate the requested capacity for 8 school age children. LPA observed all indoor activity space to be complete with age-appropriate furniture and equipment, including tables, chairs, cubbies, cribs, napping cots for infants who can climb out of a crib, bookshelves, and other activity supplies for the children. Toys are safe with no sharp edges, splinters, or points, nor made of small parts that can present a choking hazard. Drinking water is available in the classrooms via a cannister and drinking fountain that is connected to the filtered alkaline water that is located in the infant sink area. LPA observed all hazardous items to be inaccessible to children. Applicant stated that there are no bodies of water or weapons on the property. An updated fire clearance was granted on 11/14/2024.
Changing tables have at least 1” padding covered with moisture-resistant, washable material. Sides of the changing pads are at least 3” high and the changing table is within arm’s reach of a sink. Diapering sink is not used for meal preparation or dishwashing. Facility has four cribs in the infant napping room that meet regulatory requirements. Crib area is separated from activity space via a separate room that is connected to the infant activity room #1. Sleep logs will be via the Brightwheel appl. Needs and Services Plans and Sleep Plans will be kept in the child’s classroom.
