The facility was equipped with age-appropriate toys, furniture, and learning materials. Each child had a designated storage area labeled with their name. The bathroom was clean, fully operational, and with essential sanitation supplies.
The outdoor playground was clean and free of debris, with a fence at least four feet tall. Play equipment was in good condition, with no sharp, loose, or pointed parts. No pools, spas, or bodies of water were present on the property.
Parents are required to provide their child's lunch and snacks. The facility has filtered water available for its children.
The facility provides mats for children to take naps on. LPA observed that sheets and blankets were available for the children. The facility requires parents to supply blankets and sheets for their children.
LPA reviewed five children’s files and found that each record is complete. The files contained emergency identification information and required immunizations.
LPA reviewed four staff files and found that all four have current Pediatric First Aid/CPR and Mandated Reporter Training certificates.
LPA reviewed the Tuberculosis (TB) test results of four staff members and found that one staff member (S4) did not have her results in her file. Therefore, the facility will receive a technical violation.
LPA reviewed transcripts for four staff members and confirmed that three have completed twelve Early Childhood Education (ECE) units, qualifying them to work as teachers. The fourth staff member (S4) was missing her transcripts from her file.
Assembly Bill (AB) 2370, Chapter 676, Statutes of 2018, requires all licensed Child Care Centers (CCCs) constructed before January 1, 2010, to test their water (used for drinking and food preparation) for lead contamination before January 1, 2023, and then every 5-years after the date of the first test.
LPA verified that the lead testing was completed in accordance to the Written Directives outlined in PIN 21-21.1-CCP.
