On September 06, 2024 at approximately 10:30am, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Ly conducted an Unannounced Plan of Correction (POC) Visit and met with Head Teacher, Kim Du during the visit. Purpose of the inspection was explained. There were 14 staff caring for 58 children during the visit.

The POC visit is regarding Type B deficiency cited on 08/13/2024: CCR 101237 Alterations to Existing Buildings or New Facilities (a) Prior to construction or alterations, the licensee shall notify the Department of the proposed change(s). LPA observed Seal Classroom has been sealed off. Children from Seal classroom are temporarily moved upstair occupying School Age Stem Room while the classroom is upgrading glass windows. Facility's Director was advised to move preschool children to preschool classrooms where fire clearance granted for the spaces they were in on the ground level. Upstair's School Age rooms' fire clearance can not be used for preschool age children and therefore, preschool age children are not allowed upstair.

During today's visit, LPA and Head Teacher toured the facility. LPA observed there was no preschoolers occupying upstair's school age classroom. Seal Classroom's children have been divided and combined with other classrooms since the facility is currently low in enrollment. Type B deficiency cited on 08/13/2024 is cleared and letter of deficiency clearance is provided to Head Teacher.

A copy of this report and appeal rights were discussed and left with Head Teacher whose signature on this form confirm receipt of these reports. Notice of Site Visit was provided.
