13 | On April 25, 2024, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Van conducted an unannounced inspection to finalize this complaint and deliver the findings to the Center. LPA met with the Assistant Director, Tunisia Kemp. The purpose of the inspection was explained, and entry to the Center was granted. Nine staff members supervised 37 children today, and the teacher-to-children ratio was met.
During the investigation, LPA interviewed the childcare staff members, collected all relevant documents from the Center, and requested and obtained an SFSU campus police report. However, after reviewing the available information, the investigation concluded that there was not enough evidence to support the allegation that staff failed to prevent inappropriate sexual interactions among the daycare children. Although the allegation may have happened or is valid, there is not a preponderance of evidence to prove the alleged violation did or did not occur; therefore, the allegation is UNSUBSTANTIATED.
A notice of site visit was given to the Assistant Director and must remain posted on, or immediately adjacent to, the interior side of the main door for 30 days.
An exit interview was conducted, and the report was reviewed with the Assistant Director, Tunisia Kemp. |
