25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Mok conducted an unannounced annual inspection today. LPA met with the licensees, Angela and Sandra Siharath, and explained the purpose of the inspection to them. Licensee's husband was present in the daycare area upon LPA's arrival. There were 10 children that included 4 infants present. Licensees owned this 2 stories single family house. Licensees lived in the house with her husband. The house had 3 bedrooms, 1 bath, kitchen, dining room, & living room on the upper lever. The lower level has a garage that was converted into a day care area with 2 rooms, & 1 bath. Per licensees request, they wanted to add the front yard to the daycare area. LPA inspected the front yard for health and safety hazards. The front yard was completely fenced. LPA did not see any harmful and toxin objects in the yard. The yard was added to the daycare areas as of today. The day care areas were the entire lower level, front and backyard. The off-limit area was entire upper level. LPA inspected the facility for health and safety hazard. The house was clean and in order. Lighting and temperature were adequate. All toxins and harmful items were either locked and made inaccessible to children. There were plenty of age appropriate toys, books, learning materials, and furniture available for children. Carpet and soft cushioning were installed to the floor to prevent injury. Cubbies were available for children to story their belongings in day care area. There were working telephone, fully charge fire extinguisher 2A10BC, and first aid supplies available in day care area. Smoke and carbon monoxide detectors were not tested due napping during inspection. Cots, & play pens were available as the napping equipment. The outdoor area was completely fenced. Soft cushioning was installed to the entire ground to prevent injury. There were outdoor toys available for children. The children bathroom was clean and free of hazard. Licensees and a helper had current first aid and CPR training that will expire in 4/2023 and 5/2023. Disaster drill was conducted at least 2 times per year. Per licensee, there were no guns, no weapons and no pets in the house. Per licensee, there were no children on special medication. All required postings were posted. LPA reviewed the children's records and 15 minutes nap check log during the inspection. LPA also obtained a copy of the roster during inspection. The licensees and a helper had current Child Abuse Mandated Training that expire in 7/2024.
This report and notice of site visit were discussed with the licensee and must be made available to the public upon request.
