LPA reviewed three staff files, five children’s files, and facility records. LPA observed there to be at least one staff member with current First Aid/CPR training that expires 1/2025. All staff members present have current Mandated Reporter Training. LPA observed all children’s files to be complete. Upon entry to the facility, LPA observed that the California Passenger Child Safety Law (PUB269) was not posted. LPA informed D1 of requirement to post PUB269. D1 printed out and posted the form during the visit. See LIC9102-TV for technical violation issued today. All other required postings were observed to be visible and accessible for review.
The facility had tested for lead and had an exceedance of lead in a sink (Fixture A). LPA discussed options for remediation with D1. Per D1, the facility is planning on replacing the sink. LPA requested that D1 keep LPA updated with information regarding plans to replace the fixture. D1 agreed.
