The facility was found clean, well-maintained, and free from hazards. Disinfectants, cleaning solutions, and toxic substances were inaccessible to the children. All accessible cabinets and drawers in the classrooms contained no hazardous materials.
The facility was equipped with age-appropriate toys, furniture, and learning materials. Each child had a designated storage area labeled with their name. The bathroom was clean, fully operational, and with essential sanitation supplies.
The facility has an outdoor waiver approved by the Department, which allows no more than 28 children at a time. LPAs observed a group of eight children, accompanied by two staff members, in the outdoor playground, in compliance with the outdoor waiver. The outdoor playground was clean and free of debris, with a fence at least four feet tall. Play equipment was in good condition, with no sharp, loose, or pointed parts. No pools, spas, or bodies of water were present on the property. The outdoor activity area had an area with sand, and according to S1, the sand is inspected daily before the children arrive.
Parents are required to provide their child's lunch. The facility provides morning and afternoon snacks for its children. The children’s lunches were observed in their storage area. The facility provides filtered water for its children.
LPAs observed that napping equipment and bedding were available for the children. Mats were provided for the children. The facility requires parents to supply blankets and sheets for their children. Sheets and blankets were available and cleaned weekly by the parents.
LPAs reviewed children's and staff files. Eight of the ten children’s files were found to be complete and included all required licensing forms. Two children's files were missing form LIC 701 from their records. Four staff files were also complete and included all required licensing forms, with valid Pediatric First Aid/CPR and Mandated Reporter Training certificates. Four staff transcripts were reviewed and found to fulfill the educational requirements for Early Childhood Education, which qualifies them to serve as teachers. The fifth staff member works as a teacher’s assistant.
