25 | On May 9, 2024, at approximately 1:05 pm., Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs) Van and Basak conducted an unannounced inspection of the Plan of Correction (POC). LPAs arrived at the front gate and rang the doorbell multiple times, but there was no answer. LPAs tried to contact the licensee through the licensee’s phone and left a detailed message. Around 1:30 pm, the licensee called back and explained that she had fallen asleep and didn't hear the doorbell.
At 3:50 p.m., LPAs returned to the facility again. The licensee opened the door. After explaining the purpose of the inspection, the licensee granted LPAs entry to the home. The licensee and two helpers supervised 11 children today (2 infants and 9 preschoolers).
During the annual inspection on May 3, 2024, several deficiencies were identified at the facility. Among them, the Licensee did not have the mandated reporter training completed or available for review. In addition, all play yards in the childcare areas were observed loosely and not properly fitted, which did not comply with the infant's safe sleep.
During today's inspection, LPA found that all play yards had been rectified with proper and tight-fitted bedsheets. The licensee also submitted a picture of the completed mandated reporter training certificate, which was completed on May 3, 2024. As a result of these corrections, all deficiencies cited were cleared.
An exit interview and consultation were conducted with the Licensee. No deficiencies were observed in today's inspection.
A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days.
An exit interview was conducted, and the report was reviewed with the licensee, Viktoriya Nikchemny. |
