25 | On March 19, 2025 at approximately 12:30pm, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Ly conducted an Unannounced Annual Visit at and met with Site Director Ho Ying (Fanny) Lee during the visit. The purpose of the inspection was explained. This is an Infant Program with a Toddler Component. There were 11 staff including the Director caring for 22 infants and toddlers. Staff to child ratio is met today. The facility has fully charged fire extinguishers that meet the minimum requirements, smoke detectors, and a carbon monoxide (CO) detector. Facility has posted all the required licensing forms in a prominent accessible location. Parents sign their children in and out of the program with the electronic sign in and out system called Care Connect. Each authorize representative is issued a PIN to access the system and for facility to identify who they are.
There are no bodies of water on the premises. All cleaning supplies and toxins were locked or inaccessible to the children. All solid waste storage bins are secured with tight fitting lids. There is a variety of age appropriate toys and materials, including cribs. Napping equipment used in the center meets regulation requirements.
LPA did not observe any baby walkers present in the center. Changing tables are within arms reach of a sink. Per Director, Facility provides formula and diaper to infants in care. All bottles were labeled with the child's name and date. Parents choose to have bottles wash/sterilize at home at the end of each day or the facility would wash/sterilize and have it ready for use the following day. Facility provides breakfast, lunch and afternoon snack to children who are 12 months and older. Facility does not cook on site but have Chefable as their vendor for food supplies.
LPA and Site Director also toured the indoor gross motor activities area called the Nature Room for Health and Safety Hazards. LPA observed equipment is in good condition, free from loose, sharp or pointed parts. In addition, equipment appears to be age appropriate for children in care. Last Emergency Drill was conducted on February 28, 2025 and properly logged.
During today's visit, a random sample of children's files were reviewed and found to have emergency identification information, required licensing forms and immunization record on file. In the staff files reviewed, all files have the verification of meeting the educational requirements; verification of the required staff immunization, or proof of immunity, and staff have the required mandated child abuse reporting training as compliant with AB1207. At least one staff have current Pediatric First Aid and CPR.
