25 | On June 26, 2024, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Van conducted a required annual inspection and met with the Licensee, Tina Liu. LPA explained the purpose of the inspection to the Licensee, who then granted LPA access to the home. The licensee and a helper supervised seven children: two infants and five preschool-age children. During the visit, another helper arrived, and two more children were dropped off. The Licensee complies with the licensing capacity and limits today. All adults working or residing at the home have cleared criminal clearance verified with the CDSS Guardian background check system.
The childcare areas previously approved remain the same, with the same off-limits and childcare areas. The childcare areas are on the ground level, consisting of the playroom, nap room, kitchenette, bathroom, and backyard. The off-limit areas are the entire 2nd floor, the garage, and the storage shed in the backyard. All off-limits areas have been appropriately blocked off from the children. The operation hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. The Licensee has valid childcare liability insurance on file.
LPA and the Licensee inspected the childcare areas to identify any possible risks to health and safety. LPA noted that the childcare areas were well-maintained and organized. The spaces were equipped with toys suitable for the children's age, reading materials, and activities designed to encourage creativity and cognitive development. The childcare areas were appropriately heated, lit, and ventilated, and there were no potential hazards that could pose a danger to the children in care. The Licensee had a fire extinguisher that was fully charged and met the minimum standards of 2A 10 BC. Additionally, the Licensee had both a carbon monoxide detector and a smoke detector in place. Childcare is provided on the ground level, which does not have a fireplace.
