25 | On 1/14/2024, at approximately 2:30PM, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Jonathan Tse conducted an unannounced annual visit at the facility. LPA met with Licensee, Keri Sheehan and explained the purpose of the visit. Present during the visit was Licensee, a helper, two preschool age children, and three infants. The facility is operating within capacity and ratio requirements on this day.
Daycare Areas: Living Room, Bathroom, and Bedroom on the ground level of the home.
Off-limits Areas: Garage, Backyard, and all other levels of the home.
LPA and Licensee inspected the home for any health or safety hazards. There is a fully charged 2A10BC fire extinguisher present in the home. LPA observed there to be operational carbon monoxide detectors present in the daycare areas. Electrical outlets are covered or blocked with furniture. Off-limits areas are secured with childproof gates. There are heating and temperature controls available for the comfort and safety of children in care. LPA advised that poisons, cleaning detergents, and other chemicals be stored in cabinets that are secured with childproof locks. There is a first aid kit present in the Living Room.
LPA observed there to be age-appropriate toys and learning materials present in the facility. Furniture was observed to be age-appropriate and free of rough or sharp edges. Children have access to a storage area for their belongings in the entryway of the facility. LPA observed there to be cots and cribs available for napping children. Per Licensee, the facility provides lunch and AM/PM snacks for children in care. Per Licensee, there are no children with food allergies currently enrolled.
There is no outdoor play area in the facility. Per Licensee, children are taken out on walks to nearby parks which are within walking distance of the facility. There are no swimming pools or other similar bodies of water present. Per Licensee, there are no firearms or weapons stored in the home.
