LPA observed that the home's interior was clean, orderly, and well-ventilated. Disinfectants, cleaning solutions, poisons, and other hazardous items were stored in areas inaccessible to children. The bathroom was clean, fully operational, and equipped with sanitation products.
The daycare areas have toys, furniture, and learning materials that are suitable for the children's ages. There is a designated area for storing children's clothes and personal items. Electrical outlets are equipped with child safety covers to protect children. The child safety gate at the bottom of the stairs kept the second floor off-limits.
S1 said that there were no firearms or weapons on the property.
The backyard is surrounded by a fence, and the outdoor play equipment is well-maintained. LPA did not find any pools, spas, or other bodies of water on the property.
The facility serves breakfast, lunch, and snacks to the children. S1 reported that none of the enrolled children have documented allergies. Parents of children under one year old are required to provide their own food or formula.
The facility provides cots and playpens for children to rest or nap. LPA observed that sheets and blankets were available for the children. Infant mattresses are firm and equipped with appropriately sized sheets. All playpens are well-maintained and free of loose items that could pose safety risks. The facility provides blankets and sheets to the children in care, washing them weekly or as needed.
LPA reviewed the files of five children and confirmed that they all had complete records. The children's files contain records of emergency identification information and necessary immunizations. Three children's fifteen-minute sleep check records were also reviewed and found to be complete.
LPA reviewed two staff files (S1 and S2) and confirmed that both Pediatric First Aid/CPR and Mandated Reporter Training certifications are current.
