25 | On October 27, 2021 at 9:00am, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Catrina Quimbo met with Facility # 380506430 director, Concepcion "Tina" Baluyut, for a case management inspection. Director requested to temporarily operate child care at Facility #384001548. Operations at Facility #380506430 have temporarily ceased due to construction and flooding of facility. Hours of operation are Monday to Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm. Facility is currently licensed for a capacity of 30 preschool children. LPA advised Director operations at facility are to operate within capacity limits and outdoor rotation limits.
Present during inspection were 21 children and 4 staff members (including director). All staff members currently working in facility have cleared criminal background clearances and are associated to facility. LPA and Director inspected day care areas for health and safety hazards.
Facility includes one large classroom with a wooden divider in center of classroom, making 2 separate classroom areas. Facility also includes additional classroom (napping room) and multipurpose area. LPA observed day care areas to be in good repair with proper temperature and ventilation. There were a variety of age appropriate toys and equipment in the classrooms which are in good condition.
At approximately 9:40am, two additional children (preschool age) arrived to facility. Total children present during inspection is 23 children. All electrical outlets accessible to children have child safety covers. All cleaning supplies, poisons and other chemicals were stored inaccessible to children. There are no pools, spas or other bodies of water on site. Facility is equipped with smoke detectors, carbon monoxide detectors, fully charged fire extinguisher and fully stocked first aid kit.
