25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Mok,conducted an unannounced required annual inspection. LPA met with the licensee, Josephine Tolbert, and explained the purpose of the inspection. There were 5 children who were the siblings from the same family and stayed overnight at the facility last night. There were no children under 2 years old present at the facility upon LPA's arrival. Per licensee, she provides a overnight daycare service to one of the family whenever they need it. The mother of the children picks them up around 4 to 5 PM daily. She also has another school-age child coming to her daycare sometimes. The licensee broke her leg at the supermarket couple months ago. She's finally recovered now. Licensee owns this 2 story single family house. The house has 3 bedrooms, 1 bath, living room, dining room, & kitchen on the upper level. The lower level has a bathroom, garage that was converted into a day care area, and backyard. LPA toured the facility for health and safety hazard. The day care area was: the entire lower level , and backyard. Per licensee, the backyard wasn't used for her day care temporarily due to the backyard needs to be maintained. The off-limit area was: entire upper level. The temperature and lighting were adequate. All toxins and harmful objects were made inaccessible to children. There were some age appropriate toys, sand box, ride-on toys, mid-size trampoline and furniture available for children. The licensee installed the carpet to the entire ground as soft cushioning to prevent injury. Cribs, play pen, and cots were available for napping. All electrical outlets were covered. There were fully charged 2A10BC fire extinguisher, working telephone, smoke and carbon monoxide detectors, and first aid supplies available in day care. Licensee provides snack, breakfast, lunch, & dinner to day care children, but some parents might bring their own food to day care sometimes. The children bathroom was clean and free of hazard. There was a diaper changing table available in the bathroom. Per licensee, she has taken the day care children to the parks near by her house. Per licensee, there were no guns or weapons, but she has a bird in a cage in her house upstairs. The licensee had current CPR/First Aid Training that will expire in 8/19/2025. All required postings were posted. There were no children on special medication
