Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Mok conducted an unannounced annual inspection today. LPA met with the licensee, Xue Hong Liu (Lisa), and explained the purpose of the inspection to her. There were 3 infants present with a licensee during the inspection. All adults have fingerprint clearance. The facility is called Ting Ting Daycare, and the operation hours are Monday to Friday from 8 AM to 5:30 PM. The licensee rents and lives in this 3 stories single-family house with her son. The house has three levels with 3 Bedrooms, 2 bathrooms house on the 3rd level; a living room, a Kitchen, a dining room, one bedroom, and a bathroom on the 2nd level; a garage and a backyard on the lower level. The daycare area is on the entire 2nd level. The off-limit areas are the entire 3rd level and ground level. LPA inspected the facility for health and safety hazards. The facility was clean and in order, temperature and lighting were adequate, and the toxins and harmful items were made inaccessible to the children. The licensee installed the barricades to the windows in the living room to prevent children's access. The licensee installed soft cushioning on the floor in the daycare area to prevent injury. The licensee installed a gate at the stairway to prevent children's access to the off-limit areas. The licensee blocked the fireplace with a board and covered the electrical outlets. There were plenty of age-appropriate toys, books, learning materials and equipment, ride-on toys, and children's furniture that were in good condition and repaired. The booster chairs were available for feeding only. The playpen was available for napping. There was a fully charged 2A10BC, working smoke and carbon monoxide detectors, working landline telephone and cellular phone, and first aid supplies available in the daycare. The lower kitchen cabinets and drawers were latched or free of harmful objects. The children's bathroom was clean, and the lower bathroom sink cabinet was free of harmful objects. Per the licensee, there were no children on special medication. The licensee has no pets, weapons, or guns in the house. The licensee provides AM/PM snacks, lunch, and dinner to the daycare children. The licensee had current CPR/First Aid training that will expire on 5/2025, and Child Abuse Mandated Reporter Training that will expire on 3/2025. The licensee conducts the fire drill 2 times a year and logs. LPA reviewed the children's files, and 15-minute nap log and obtained a copy of the children's roster during the inspection.
