25 | On June 25, 2026, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Leong arrived at the facility to conduct an unannounced annual inspection. LPA met with S1 and explained the purpose of the visit. According to S1, the licensee was not present at the facility because she is at a doctor’s appointment.
Two adults (the licensee’s two assistants) were present in the facility, caring for ten preschool-aged children. Both adults have criminal record clearance on file. The facility was observed to be operating within the licensed capacity ratio requirements.
The facility operates Monday through Thursday from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM. Licensing documents are posted on the wall and available for review. Emergency disaster drills were conducted and documented. The most recent drill was completed on February 5, 2026.
Childcare areas: The entire unit.
Off-limits areas: Backyard. S1 understands that off-limits areas may not be used for childcare during business hours.
The indoor areas were clean, well-ventilated, and maintained at a comfortable temperature. Age-appropriate furniture, toys, and learning materials were available and in good condition. Electrical outlets were found to be inaccessible to children and secured with childproof covers. Hazardous items, including cleaning supplies and chemicals, were stored in areas inaccessible to children. Carpets were observed in the home, and S1 stated that the staff vacuum the carpets daily.
The home was equipped with a fire extinguisher, a first-aid kit, a smoke detector, and a carbon monoxide detector. The bathroom was clean and contained age-appropriate toileting equipment. S1 confirmed that no firearms or weapons are stored on the premises.
