LPA inspected the facility's outdoor play area. The facility uses Cow Hollow Playground for outdoor play, which is a public park. Per D1, the park is checked and cleaned daily for debris and other loose articles. The facility has age-appropriate toys and equipment available for children to use. There are play structures present that are cushioned by sand. Shade is available with trees and park structures. Water bottles are taken outside with children to ensure accessibility of drinking water. There are no swimming pools or other similar bodies of water present in the facility.
LPA reviewed three staff files, five children’s files, and facility records. There is at least one staff member present with current Pediatric First Aid/CPR. All staff present have completed Mandated Reporter Training. Staff have immunization records available for review. LPA observed all children’s files to be complete. All required postings were observed to be posted and accessible for review upon entry to the facility. The facility last conducted an emergency drill on 9/10/2024. Emergency drills are properly logged and documented. Children are signed in via the ProCare app. The facility tested its fixtures for lead before the deadline of 1/1/2023 and found no exceedances of lead. The facility is in compliance with lead testing requirements as of 9/19/2024. LPA advised that lead testing shall be conducted every five years.

Facility representative was reminded that all adults 18 and over, including employees and volunteers, except as specified in Health and Safety Code section 1596.871, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a Child Care Center. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day for a maximum of 5 days or, if the penalty is for a repeat violation, for a
maximum of 30 days per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated.
