25 | On 7/22/2024, at approximately 12:30PM, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Jonathan Tse conducted an unannounced POC (Plan of Correction) visit at the facility. LPA met with Licensee, Venetia Gatus, and explained the purpose of the visit. Present during the visit was Licensee, two helpers, four infants, and two preschool age children. The facility is operating within staffing and ratio requirements on this day.
On 7/9/2024, during an annual visit, LPA observed five infants and three preschool age children in care. This posed an immediate risk to the health and safety of children. A Type A deficiency was issued and a plan of correction was discussed with Licensee. Technical violations relating to infant sleep logs and logging emergency drills were also issued. Infant safe sleep regulations were discussed during the visit.
During today's visit on 7/22/2024, LPA observed that the facility was operating within staffing and ratio requirements. There were four infants and two preschool age children. Licensee created a schedule that ensured that there were no more than four infants present at a time. LPA observed that LIC9224 (Acknowledgment of Receipt of Licensing Reports) was available for review. The deficiency cited on 7/9/2024 shall be cleared on this day.
LPA reviewed infant sleeping logs and discussed logging emergency drills with Licensee during the visit. Infant sleeping logs were observed to be maintained for each infant in care.
Criminal record background clearance transfer requests (LIC9182) were discussed during the visit. A copy of LIC9182 was provided to Licensee.
No deficiencies were cited during today's visit on 7/22/2024. A notice of site visit was given and must be posted for 30 days. Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with Licensee, Venetia Gatus. |
