The facility was found clean, well-maintained, and free from hazards. Disinfectants, cleaning solutions, and toxic substances were inaccessible to the children. All accessible cabinets and drawers in the classrooms contained no hazardous materials.
The facility was equipped with age-appropriate toys, furniture, and learning materials. Each child had a designated storage area. The bathroom was clean, fully operational, and with essential sanitation supplies.
The facility has an outdoor waiver approved by the Department, which allows no more than ten children at a time. LPA observed a group of eight children with one staff member in the outdoor playground, in compliance with the outdoor waiver. The outdoor playground was clean and free of debris, with a fence at least four feet tall. Play equipment was in good condition, with no sharp, loose, or pointed parts. No pools, spas, or bodies of water were present on the property.
The facility provides lunch and snacks for the children. The facility has a water refilling station on site. According to the director, the water from the sink is filtered.
LPA observed that napping equipment and bedding were available for the children. Cots were provided for the children by the facility. Sheets and blankets were available and cleaned weekly by the parents.
LPA reviewed children's and staff files. Six children’s files were found to be complete and included all required licensing forms. Three of the four staff files were also found to be complete and included all required licensing forms, with valid Pediatric First Aid/CPR certificates. The fourth staff member (S3) did not have form LIC 503 in her file. Therefore, the facility will receive a technical violation.
Two staff transcripts were reviewed and found to meet the educational requirements for Early Childhood Education, qualifying them to serve as teachers.
Four staff members' Mandated Reporter Training certificates were reviewed, and LPA found that all four had expired certificates. Therefore, the facility will receive a technical violation.
