During today's visit, a random sample of children's files were reviewed. Children's record were found incomplete. A Technical Violation has been issued on this day.
LPAs also review staff files. Staff files were found incomplete. Director has been advised to collect all needed documents for the file. Having incomplete files poses a potential health and safety risks to children in care. Type B citation has been issued on this day in accordance with the California Code of Regulations, Title 22, see LIC 809D.
Staff files were found to be missing Child Abuse Mandated Reporter Training or have expired. Missing proof of training poses a potential health and safety risks to children in care. Type B citation has been issued on this day in accordance with the California Code of Regulations, Title 22, see LIC 809D.
Other Technical Violations observed during today's visit were electrical wires were hanging, cleaning solution was accessible in the day care area, electrical outlets were not covered, electrical wall plug was loose, portable heater was accessible in day care area, staff did not have proof of flu vaccine or declination statement on file and children files are missing required forms. All citations and Technical violations will be review in the follow up visit.

Facility Representative was reminded that all adults 18 and over, including employees and volunteers, except as specified in Health and Safety Code section 1596.871, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a Child Care Center. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day for a maximum of 5 days or, if the penalty is for a repeat violation, for a maximum of 30 days per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated.
