25 | On September 17, 2026, at approximately 1.35pm, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Tso made an unannounced required visit to the child care center listed above. The LPA was granted entry by the Director, Jiecheng (Amelia) Zheng (facility representative). The facility representative was informed of the reason for today's visit by the LPA. Present in the center included Director, 7 staff members and 10 infants. All individuals listed on the facility’s roster have been granted permission to work or be present in a childcare center. The center is operating within its capacity and in accordance with the required ratio of staff to children. Hours of operation are Monday- Friday, 8:00 am- 5:00 pm. The facility was a combination center with Preschool program and Infant Program with Toddler Option. There are 2 sections (infant and toddler) under the infant program. There are 2 separate classrooms and a separate playground for Infant and Toddler. Those classrooms are separated by the divider, so no physical contact between Toddlers and Infants.
LPA assessed the Center for Health and Safety Hazards with the facility representative. The Center also maintains a carbon monoxide detector (tested under working conditions during the visit), centralized smoke alarm, fully charged fire extinguisher, and First Aid kit. The diaper changing table has at least 1" thick padding, and has at least 3" elevated edges. The changing tables are within arm's reach of the sink, and disposable wipes are used to clean after each usage. The Center also provided age-appropriate toys, furnishings, changing tables, and equipment. Designated cubbies are available for children to store their belongings. There are sufficient sleeping equipment, cots and cribs for each child, and all mats and bedding are kept in the appropriate location. The facility maintains a record of sign-in/out for infants, and all parent signatures were accounted for and matched the number of infants present. The infants' classroom environment appeared clean and organized, with appropriate heating, lighting, and ventilation. LPA did not observe any pools, spas, or other bodies of water, nor did they notice any bouncers, exersaucers, or similar equipment at the facility. According to the facility representative, no firearms or weapons are present at the Center, and all cleaning materials and potentially hazardous objects are kept out of reach of children. Personnel restrooms are separate from the children, and all solid waste storage containers have tightly fitted lids. Per the facility representative, the meals (lunches) for the children in care were prepared and delivered by the central kitchen. The snacks were prepared by the facility. LPA also observed that the food preparation site is clean, free from litter or debris, organized, and inaccessible to children. (Continued on page 2...) |
