25 | On 2/5/2026 at 9:05AM., Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Luis Gomez met with Licensee, Aida Lane. The purpose of today’s inspection was explained and was for an Announced; case management inspection -other. Licensee is requesting to reactivate large capacity licensure. Present was the licensee and licensee’s husband and no children. The home, which has three units, is a 4 bedroom, 3 bathroom, 2 level house. Per licensee, days and hours of operations are: Monday- Friday, 8:00AM- 5:00PM. The area of the home designated for childcare are: Living Room (Activity Space #1); Dining Area (Activity Space #2); Bedroom #1 (Activity Space #3); Art Room (near kitchen); Bathroom #1; Bathroom #2 (near kitchen); and Backyard Area. The areas designated as off-limit are: Entire 2nd Level (Bedrooms #2, #3, #4); Lower Level: Kitchen (Pass through only); and Garage. LPA inspected home inside and outside for health and safety hazards.
At 9:15AM., the following was observed: Home had a variety of age-appropriate playthings available for the children. The floors and ground surfaces were clear of any obstructions or hazards. The childcare’s furniture and accessible materials inspected were in good repair, free of sharp corners or splinters. The home has tables and chairs, scaled to the proper size. The fireplace in living room has been barricade. The bathrooms was observed clean with fixtures in operating condition. The applicant has installed a changing table in the art area, for use as needed. Licensee has several cubbies / storage space is located in hallway.
For nap services, LPA observed mats stored in facility. The home has a functioning telephone service (landlord); smoke/ carbon monoxide combination detector; and fully charged fire extinguisher (2A:10BC) in kitchen. The detergents, cleaning compounds, and other items which can pose a hazard have been made inaccessible. The home had adequate ventilation and lighting.
During inspection, LPA reviewed the backyard area. The staircase leading to the 2nd level from backyard has been barricaded. The area was enclosed with play structure installed. LPA observed absorbent material (tanbark) underneath slide. Home does not have pools, fishponds, spas, jacuzzi or any other body of water on the premises. (REFER TO 809C, FOR CONT.)
