25 | On June 26, 2024, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Van conducted an unannounced case management visit and met with teacher, Fallon Lin (Yan Fang). The purpose of the inspection was explained, and the teacher allowed LPA entry to the Center. The lead teacher, Shirley Li, arrived a moment later. Today's case management visit focuses on assessing and confirming the safety of the recently renovated courtyard to identify any potential hazards that could endanger the children's health and safety. Six staff supervised twenty-two children today. The Center Director was not present during the inspection.
The newly renovated front courtyard is surrounded by soft, shock-absorbent padding to minimize the risk of injuries. A sturdy wooden playhouse and benches are also present. According to the lead teacher, fresh water is always available in refillable bottles. The center plans to provide children with bikes, blocks, and various educational toys to encourage sensory exploration and imaginative play. Per the lead teacher, the back courtyard will undergo renovations sometime in the future, but there is no exact timeline as the center is still awaiting approval for the grant. The head teacher was also told to notify the licensing office once the renovation began.
A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days.
Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with the lead teacher, Shirley Li.
