32 | LPA did not observe any cribs or play yards during the inspection. The Licensee mentioned that the youngest child in care is 16 months old, so there is no need for cribs or play yards. The Licensee confirmed that all enrolled children are using sleeping cots. During the inspection, the infant sleeping logs were available for review, and they were found to be completed with a fifteen-minute increments check and staff initials.
All the required posting documentation, such as the facility license, Notification of Parental Rights, and Earthquake Preparedness Checklist, have been placed in a prominent area for parents or representatives to review. According to the licensee, regular fire and earthquake drills are conducted quarterly, with the most recent drills completed on 3/18/2024.
During the inspection, LPA reviewed the records of the children and personnel. The Licensee has valid childcare liability insurance on file. The licensee and her assistant have maintained comprehensive records and have met all the necessary licensing requirements, including obtaining required immunizations and keeping up with mandated reporter training. Additionally, they have a valid Pediatric CPR/First Aid certification. The records of five random children in attendance were reviewed. The licensee maintains thorough records for each child, including vaccination records, parental rights forms, and complete emergency information.
Licensee was reminded that all adults 18 and over living or working in the home, including employees and volunteers, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a licensed Family Child Care Home. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day up to $500.00 maximum per day/per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated.
