25 | On 4/25/2024, at approximately 9:25AM, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Jonathan Tse conducted an unannounced annual visit at the facility. LPA met with Licensee, Salina Lindsey (L1). LPA explained the purpose of the visit. Present during the visit was L1, two helpers, four preschool age children and three infants. The facility is in compliance with staffing and ratio requirements on this day. The facility’s operating hours are from 7:30AM to 5:30PM.
Daycare Areas: Dining Room, Living Room, and Backyard.
Off-limits Areas: Kitchen and entire upper level of the home.
LPA inspected the home for any health or safety hazards. There is a fully charged 2A10BC fire extinguisher present. There is a carbon monoxide detector present in the facility. LPA observed emergency exits to be clearly marked and labeled. Evacuation routes are posted and available for review. Electrical outlets are covered or obstructed by furniture when not in use to be inaccessible to children in care. There is no fireplace in the daycare areas. Stairs are obstructed and rendered inaccessible to children with the use of a childproof gate.
LPA observed the home to be in clean and orderly condition. There are age-appropriate toys and learning materials present. Furniture is age-appropriate and free of rough or sharp edges. There are cots and cribs available for children to nap on. Bedding is provided by the facility and cleaned as needed. Bedding is stored in labeled containers. Napping infants are supervised by staff. The facility provides breakfast, lunch, and snacks for children in care. The facility currently does not have any children with allergies. If children do have allergies, an allergy list is posted in the Kitchen so that staff are aware of each child’s allergies. Per L1, there are firearms or weapons stored in the home. LPA observed them to be stored inaccessible to children in care in a secured and locked container. Off-limits areas are kept inaccessible to children with the use of childproof gates.
