25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Mok conducted an unannounced annual inspection today. LPA met with the Site Director, Lonna Corder , and Assistant Site Director, Ashley Sedillo. The purpose of the inspection was explained to them. There were 41 children with 10 staff present. Facility operates M-F, year round from 08:00 AM to 06:00 PM in classroom 1 (toddler room) - Coyote, # 2 - Lizard, # 3 - Hawk , # 4 - Foxs, # 5 - Butterfly, and the library. All adults were fingerprinted. Facility was inspected indoors and outdoors for Health and Safety hazards and the following was observed; Classrooms have age appropriate toys and equipment that are in good repair. Classrooms are adequately ventilated/heated. There are cubbies available for children belongings outside the classroom. Changing area is kept clean, in good repair, and maintained with adequate supplies. Cots and resting mats are available for napping and blankets are wash every week in the facility. There are a total of 6 toilets, 2 sinks and 7 three stations wash sinks for children’s usage. Staff use a separate bathroom. Facility don’t provide meals, only snacks. Facility has a fully supplied Emergency Kit, which is maintained inaccessible to children.
Cleaning supplies and toxins are maintained off limits to children. Outdoor play area and equipment is free of debris and dangerous conditions and in good repair. There are plenty of the age-appropriate toys, play structure with soft cushioning underneath to prevent injury, Drinking water is readily available via water filter outdoors and indoors. The children bring their own water bottles. The children bring their own lunch to school. The facility just provides AM/PM snacks. Per licensee, there were no children on special medication. LPA reviewed the children and staff files during the inspection. LPA also obtained a copy of the current roster from the licensee during the inspection. All the required postings were posted. The facility conducts the fire drill 2 times a year and logged.
