25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Mok conducted an unannounced annual inspection today. LPA met with the licensee, Xiao Deng Liao and her daughter-in-law, Yuki Zhang, and explained the purpose of the inspection to them. There were 5 children that included 2 infants present. Licensees rent this 2 stories single family house. Licensee lived in the house with her son, her daughter (Licensee Fiona), her daughter in-law and her 2 granddaughters and a grandson who were minor. Licensee's son, her daughter in-law, and her granddaughter and son lived on the lower level, and Licensees Xiao & Fiona & Fiona's child lived on the upper level. The house has 3 bedrooms, 2 baths, dining room is connected to the living room, kitchen on the upper level, and downstairs including 2 bedrooms, 1 bath, garage and the backyard. Day-care areas were entire lower level (kitchen, front bedroom, bathroom in the garage, and backyard). Off-limit areas are entire upper level, (#1 & #3 bedroom) on the lower level, a bathroom next to bedroom #3, &a garage. LPA toured the facility for health and safety hazards. The facility was clean and in order, temperature and lighting were adequate. There were plenty of age-appropriate toys, books, learning material, and children’s furniture that were in good condition and repair. All electrical outlets were covered. The facility had working cellular telephone, fully charged 2A10BC fire extinguisher, and first aid supplies available in daycare. Gate was used at the kitchen entrance to prevent children access. Sliding Door with lock has installed between the living room and the garage area to prevent children access. The garage area will be used as the pathway to the bathroom and backyard. Children cannot stay in the garage for any activity. Child proof knobs were installed to the doors to prevent children access to the off-limit areas. Soft cushioning was installed to the entire daycare floor to prevent injury. Licensees provided lunch, AM/PM snack, and dinner to the daycare children. Cots and play pens were available for napping. Bathroom was clean and free of harmful objects. The Outdoor play area was completely fenced. There were some outdoor toys, play structure with soft cushioning underneath, and ride-on toys available for children. All sharp corners were covered. Per licensee, there was no pet, no firearms or no weapons in the house. Licensees had current CPR/First Aid training and mandated reporter training. Per licensees, there was no children on special medication. All required postings were posted. LPA reviewed the children files and obtained a copy of the children roster from the licensee.
