Licensing Program Analysts, (LPAs) Ly and Schnell met with Director, Connie Luu, to conduct an Annual/Random visit today. Purpose of the visit was explained to Director. Program operates M-F, 7:30am-6pm. This infant room is called Starfish and their age group is ranging from 3 months-24 months. LPAs and Director toured and inspected child care area indoors and outdoors for health and safety hazards. Present is Director and 5 staff caring for 7 infants. Infant classroom and play yard have age appropriate toys and equipment and are in good repair. Toys and equipment is sanitized daily. Infants' play rug are deep cleaned every night and are professionally cleaned as needed. LPA's observed drinking water is readily available indoors and outdoors. Cubbies used to store children's belongings are labeled with their names . Each child has their own labeled crib. Direct visual supervision is always maintained in the classroom, outdoors, and in the nap room. Changing tables are located in the classroom and are kept clean, in good repair, and with adequate supplies. Kitchen area is maintained off limits to children. Staff restrooms are are also kept off limits to children. Cleaning supplies and toxins are kept under the sink with child proof locks which are inaccessible to children. Emergency supplies are available and maintained. Facility meets all posting requirements. Children bring their own meals and snacks. Every child's bottle/cup/food/snacks are properly labeled and are sterilized by using a steamer. Emergency drills are conducted monthly and is school wide. Classroom has a crib that is used to transfer infants out of the facility when there is an emergency. Classroom is equipped with a Smoke/Fire/Carbon Monoxide Detector. LPAs reviewed staff and children's files and are complete.
**No deficiencies were cited against the facility today under CCR,Title 22, Div. 12, Chapt. 1
This report and rights to comment and appeal were discussed with Director. This report must be kept in the facility available for public review. Notice of site visit was posted.
