25 | On March 18, 2025, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Hanson Leong conducted an unannounced annual visit. LPA met with the Owner, Angela Coo, Directors, Huiru Huang and Chunhua Shu, and explained the purpose of the visit.
Today's visit included 31 infants and 13 staff members.
LPA reviewed the sign in/sign out sheet where parents sign their children into the facility and found all signatures were accounted for.
LPA confirmed that all 13 staff members had obtained criminal record clearances from the California Department of Social Services. The facility remains within its capacity limits and meets the required ratios for today’s visit.
LPA observed that all required documents, such as the facility license, waivers, notification of parents’ rights, personal rights, car seat laws, and emergency disaster plan, were displayed and visible to the public.
The most recent emergency disaster drill was conducted on March 3, 2025, and the LPA observed that it was documented. LPA reviewed the emergency disaster drill log and found that it was conducted at least once every six months.
The facility had first aid kits, smoke detectors, carbon monoxide detectors, and fully charged fire extinguishers. LPA did not test the smoke and carbon monoxide detectors because some of the children were napping.
LPA inspected the indoor and outdoor areas for health and safety hazards. The facility was clean, safe, and well-maintained. Disinfectants, cleaning solutions, and toxic substances were stored in locations inaccessible to children. All accessible cabinets and drawers in the classrooms were free of hazardous materials.
