Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Mok conducted an unannounced annual Inspection today. LPA met with the licensee, Yong Yan Guan (Winnie), and her mother who worked as a helper. All adults had fingerprint clearance. The purpose of the inspection was explained to her. There were 4 children including 2 infants with a helper present. The licensee rented this two bedroom unit on the second floor in the 2 units building. The licensee lived in the unit with her parents, and her child who was minor. The unit had two bedrooms, 1 bath, a living room, dining/Kitchen area. The daycare areas were the entire unit except the licensee's room. The off-limit area was the LPA inspected the facility for health and safety hazards. The facility was clean and in order. The temperature and lighting were adequate. The licensee installed gates at the main entrance and entrance of the hallway to prevent children access to the off-limit area. There were a fully charged 2A10BC fire extinguisher, a working cellular phone, working smoke and carbon monoxide detector, and first aid supplies available in the facility. There were plenty of the age-appropriate toys, books, learning materials, and children's furniture that were in good condition and repair. The licensee installed the soft cushioning to the entire floor in the daycare area to prevent injury. There was cubbies available for the children to store their personal belongings by the main entrance. All the electrical outlets were covered. All the kitchen lower cabinets and drawers were either latched or free of harmful objects. The licensee installed the childproof knobs to the stove. The children's bathroom was clean. The lower bathroom sink cabinet and drawers were free of harmful object. Per licensee, she has provided breakfast, AM/PM snacks, lunch and dinner to the children. Boosters were available for feeding only. Children have napped on the soft cushioning with blankets. The licensee also had crib and playpen available for infants. Per licensee, there were no guns, no weapons, and no pets in the unit. The licensee and her helper had current CPR/First Aid training that will expire 4/2023, and Child Abuse Mandated Reporter (AB1207) that will expire in 3/2023. Per licensee, there were no children on special medication. LPA reviewed the children's file and obtained a copy of the current children's roster from the licensee during the inspection,
