25 | On February 24, 2026, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Leong arrived at the facility to conduct an unannounced annual inspection. LPA met with the Director, Karine Leung, and explained the purpose of the inspection
At the time of inspection, the facility was staffed by the director and 3 staff members, with 18 preschool-aged children in care. The facility was operating within the licensed capacity and staff-to-child ratio requirements. LPA verified that background check clearances from the California Department of Social Services (CDSS) had been granted to the director and 3 staff members.
The facility operates in one room, separated by dividers, which is clean, well-ventilated, and maintained at a comfortable temperature. Age-appropriate toys, materials, and furniture were available and in good condition. Storage hooks for the children’s belongings were observed being used. All poisons, cleaning solutions, and hazardous materials were stored in areas inaccessible to children. The bathrooms were clean and equipped with sufficient toileting supplies.
Two children’s Epi Pens were observed to be current, in the original packaging, and inaccessible to children.
The facility was equipped with a fire alarm system, two fire extinguishers, a fully stocked first-aid kit, a carbon monoxide detector, and multiple smoke detectors.
Lunch and snacks are provided by the parents. The children bring their own water bottles for refilling, and the water comes from the breakroom sink.
The children were observed napping on mats. Additional cots and mats are observed stored in the facility. and parents provide sleeping bags that are laundered weekly.
The outdoor play area was fully fenced and equipped with age-appropriate play equipment. The outdoor play equipment appeared in good condition. Flooring under the play structure was observed with resilient padding.
